Here at Firm Family Church we strive to take seriously the Great Commission from Matthew 28:18-20 which says:
“And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
We believe this can be fulfilled in the home to the horizon and part of our desire is to be a church that takes an active part in fulfilling this mission throughout the world. With that in mind, we give a substantial portion of our budget towards missions and we also strive to provide opportunities for our local body to take part in God’s global mission. Below are some of the potential opportunities we have going right now!
Baja Housebuilding Trip
Who: Anyone! Register Here
What: A short-term missions opportunity to build houses, work at an orphanage, or a women's shelter in Mexico.
When: January 4th-10th, 2026
Cost: Early Bird pricing - $750 for ages 11 and older, $500 for ages 10 and younger before August 1st (includes airfare).
After August 1st, prices go up to $850 and $600, respectively.

Gleanings for the Hungry
Who: Anyone!
What: Service trip here in California! gleanings.org
When: 2026 Dates TBD (Usually March!)
Cost: $125/person

Nicaragua Trip with Students International
Who: Anyone!
What: A short-term missions opportunity to Nicaragua with Students International.
When: Normally the last week in July
Cost: ~$2,000/person
