Small Groups

Part of our mission here at Firm Family Church is developing a faith that is real and friends that are true. One important tool to help accomplish both those goals is ‘moving from rows to circles’. Below is a list of opportunities to join a circle and help spur one another toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24)

Interested in leading or hosting a small group?

Adult In-Depth Expository Bible Study

The group meets every Thursday evening at 7:30pm and is hosted by Mike and Tina Simicsak.

"Something for Everyone" Marriage Class

Who: Married couples from all ages and stages who want their marriages to be all that God desires and has designed them to be.  (The more ages and stages  we have, the more “iron sharpening iron” can take place!)

What:  A marriage class designed to strengthen each and every marriage that is represented.  For some it will be a ‘tune-up”, for others it might be for some “repairs”; but for all it will be “safe but maybe a little unpredictable”!

When: Begins on Tuesday night, January 17th from 6-7:30pm, and meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday from January 17th until Tuesday, May 2nd.

Where: At Firm Family Church located at 2201 Pillsbury Road, Suite 150

Why: Because “Your marriage is about more than just you and your family. It’s also about everyone around you. As you make an intentional effort to strengthen your marriage, you are giving society a glimpse of the redemptive power of this God-ordained institution.  The front line of the battle for marriage isn’t Congress or the courts or the media. It’s each and every Christian home.” Jim Daly from “Thrive Magazine” published by Focus on the Family.

How: Simply email Will at by Wednesday, January 16 for planning purposes.  Childcare will be provided so please let us know ages and names of children if planning on using it.

Outline of class:

Christ Centered Marriage-1/17

Dealing with our Differences-2/7

Dealing with Expectations-3/7

Dealing with Conflict-3/21

Physical Intimacy-4/18

Starting AND Finishing Well-5/2

BEMA Small Group

What: A small group walking through the BEMA Discipleship Podcast together. The time will be split half with some type of community builder and half discussing the podcast each week. The ‘homework’ will be to listen to one episode every 2 weeks…should be doable!

When: Every other Monday evening starting January 16th, 2023 and going through May 2023, 7:30-9pm. (The reason for the later time is that hopefully people can still have dinner as a family, and then get a babysitter/grandma for when the kids are already down. If you want a recommendation for babysitting, let me know and I can pass along some good names!)

Why: To develop friends that are true and a faith that is real!

How: Let me know if you are coming and then show up the first Monday!

Where: Noël and Tyler Curtis Home, email me for details!

Who: You! And anyone really.

Contact Micah at for more details!
